Hearts of Fire

Summer is here! Time to dig up new words, knowledge and ideas from the books we've hoard for the past months.  Books we just kept in a safe place and promise to read them once we get the leave or vacation from work we've been longing. At last, I have all the time to do this now.  During the Holy Week, I started reading this famous book.  It was a birthday gift for me last July 24, 2013.  Thanks to the giver, a good friend. (",) I love the book, every word pummeled every part of my body. I can feel the beatings that these women have experienced in their journey and how God rescued and protected them.  Honestly, I highly appreciate the courage and bravery of the eight  women (who are Christians) when they endured  persecution, hardships, years of captivity, thrashing and mortifying.
In this century,  Do you know some women out there who experience the same thing because they are followers of Christ?

Hearts of Fire is the stories of eight women who, despite such circumstances, have shown incredible courage, conviction, and love for Jesus Christ and His church.  In the harshest settings, they have become leaders who have exercised extraordinary boldness and tenacity, refusing to shrink from the needs and opportunities that challenged them. Ironically, only in suffering have they had equal rights with their male counterparts; in some instances, they suffered even worse. But God, will not test us above what we are able.  He will, with the testing, make a way to escape (provide everything we need)  so that we will be able to bear it.  God does all things well.  He has a plan, and He is sovereign.  He will make all things new.  -Hearts of Fire-

"Embedded within each testimony are precious gems of faith and fortitude.  We trust these qualities will kindle a spark in your own life as you experience Hearts of Fire."

"I pray for them the same thing I prayed for myself in the jungle:
Lord, let them feel You close to them.  Help them remain faithful as this situation just keeps going from bad to worse.  Show them glimpse of Your goodness so they know they are not alone. And at the end, I know you'll be there"
